IMO Emergency Exit Right Sign – ES0002
This emergency exit right sign shows the running-man pictogram exiting through a doorway to the right, directing crew and passengers along the escape route in that direction. It is one half of a matched pair with the left-facing version, and the two are combined along corridors and stairwells to build a continuous, unambiguous chain of directional guidance toward the nearest safe exit.
The running-man symbol is recognised internationally regardless of language, which is essential on board vessels crewed by people from many different nationalities. This emergency exit right sign is positioned at doorways, junctions, and turns in the escape route so that anyone moving through the space, even in an unfamiliar area, can follow the correct path without needing to read text.
Like the rest of the vessel’s escape route signage, this emergency exit right sign is manufactured from photoluminescent film that charges under ambient lighting and continues glowing for hours during a blackout, keeping the directional chain intact when smoke or power loss would otherwise make it impossible to read.
